Concrete slabs are used to support everything from patio furniture, to foot traffic, to semi-trucks. A wide variety of support requirements. Concrete slabs present many variables that must be considered before concrete placement begins.
 
A concrete pour requires efficient planning,so that all the elements of producing a high quality slab are met before the concrete sets. Knowing what tool to use on the concrete and when to use it is essential to preventing dusting,scaling crazed cracking of the slab.

A solid stable base for the concrete slab is required and achieved by compacting the subgrade properly. This is a critical step to prevent slab settlement, or cracking problems in heavy traffic conditions.

After slab placement,there is a whole new set of issues to address,such as proper spacing and placement of control joints and adequate curing.

NOTE: ALL NEW CONCRETE POURS must cure for 7 days before weight is introduced.


Foot traffic is allowable after 24 hours.
